Our Volunteer Trustee Connie

Home-Start Central Bedfordshire’s trustees are volunteers. Across the UK, over 2000 volunteer trustees give their skills, experience and time to support local Home-Starts like ours. These are both men and women who freely give their time to help our charity. They come from all walks of life, bringing their individual experience and skills. The volunteer trustees contribute to our charity’s leadership and direction. Most importantly trustees oversee our vital work in the local community.

Farewell Connie

Connie Sharp has been volunteering with our charity for an incredible 17 years. This started with Connie joining us as a home-visiting volunteer and later becoming a trustee. Connie is now stepping down as Vice Chair of our Volunteer Trustee Board and will be greatly missed as she moves out of the area.

Connie Volunteer Trustee

“It has been a real pleasure to volunteer with Home-Start Central Bedfordshire. Being a volunteer trustee has meant that I’ve been involved in the development of the charity over the years and seen its expansion into a larger organisation providing a wider range of services across the whole of Central Beds. Trustees meet every 2 months which has meant I could fit my volunteering around my work. It has been a very rewarding experience and I am sorry to be leaving as I am moving away from the area. I wish everyone at Home-Start the very best for the future.”

A heartfelt thank you to Connie for her many years supporting Home-Start, we wish her the best in her new home.
